Free family fun day and BBQ at Hartlepool Clever Clogs
Posted: (l dS F)Families across Hartlepool and the surrounding area are invited to join celebrations at the town’s newest children’s nursery on Sunday 31st July for an action packed day of entertainment, laughter and family-friendly activities.
Clever Clogs Nursery in Hartlepool is hosting a free open day between 11am – 4pm for families in the area interested in childcare and meeting other families. The fun- filled day will include activities such as a bouncy castle, face painting, competitions, arts and crafts, stalls, apple bobbing, balloon animal modelling as well as entertainment from a spell binding magician.
The Clever Clogs team is offering an open invitation to anyone keen to join the party, enjoy the free BBQ, explore the newly refurbished nursery and celebrate the recent takeover of the site.
All proceeds from competitions and stalls will be added to profit made at a similar fun day at the nursery’s sister site in Bowburn and will go to the nursery’s chosen charity Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary’s (RVI) Children’s Clinic.
Andrea Townsley owner of Clever Clogs Nurseries said: “Since taking over the nursery earlier this year we have had a fantastic few weeks. We have redecorated the whole building, bought new toys, upgraded the garden and launched new extra curriculum classes.
“We have also welcoming lots of new children and parents into the Clever Clogs family and haven taken on new staff to help us ensure that Hartlepool Clever Clogs provides the same outstanding level of education and care as our flagship nursery in Belmont.
“Our new neighbours, current and former clients, prospective parents and the many children we have looked after over the years are welcome to join us for a fun day out and to see the nursery, meet our team and find out more about our new facilities and the team’s ambitions for the future of the nursery.”
Clever Clogs Nurseries is one of the North East’s most successful independent nursery chains. With two nurseries in Durham (in Belmont and Bowburn) and another in Hartlepool Clever Clogs Nurseries provides nursery school care for children aged 0-5 years old and after school clubs for 5-11 years. In addition holiday clubs are held at Belmont and Bowburn Clever Clogs Nurseries.

Clever Clogs Nurseries were founded by Andrea Townsley in 2007 who invested £390,000 in her purpose-built nursery in Belmont. Andrea invested almost £0.5million acquiring and renovating the two newest Clever Clogs sites in Bowburn and Hartlepool.
Clever Clogs’ flagship nursery in Belmont recently received an ‘Outstanding’ grading by education regulator Ofsted making it one of just seven per cent of nurseries in England to have received this same accolade.
