Clever Clogs places huge emphasis on specially selecting staff for their caring and loving nature, as well as making sure that they are highly professional and committed with recognised childcare qualifications. We aim to provide a harmonious and happy environment for our staff.
All staff are checked by the Criminal records Bureau before employment begins, and all hold Basic First Aid training and Basic Food Hygiene certificates. Through our effective staff recruitment and selection procedures, we are able to select staff that will be an asset to Clever Clogs Nurseries in Belmont, Durham.
On starting with us, all staff undergo an intensive induction training programme to familiarise themselves with our standards and procedures. Training is continually provided to ensure that we keep up-to-date with the latest best practices and to give staff the opportunity to continually improve.
Andrea Townsley - Owner
Andrea is a very friendly and caring person and is a mother of three young children - Charlie, George and Lexie. Andrea has lots of friends who also have young children and is therefore very sensitive to the needs of parents and children.
It is very important to Andrea to ensure that you and your child will be very happy at our nursery and, as a parent of young children in nursery care and education herself, she feels that she understands the needs of parents and children better than most.
Andrea's goal is to make sure that all children who attend our nursery really enjoy themselves and that you feel happy and secure in the knowledge that your child is being well looked after when you leave each day.
Phillippa Parrish - Nursery Manager
Phillippa is a very sensitive, caring and trustworthy person and it is these qualities that led her to be specially selected for the role as Nursery Manager. Phillippa has over four years' experience in the childcare sector and is highly qualified in Early Years Childcare.
Phillippa has a vast amount of knowledge and experience and is confident in meeting the needs of individual children and their families, ensuring the best and highest quality of childcare. She is a very efficient, organised and committed manager and her aim is to achieve the best possible outcomes for all children and families in her care.
Testament to Phillippa's abilities are our parents, who tell us that Phillippa is a "warm and caring individual, who makes me feel confident that my child is being well looked after and that his/her individual developmental needs are being met and exceeded". Phillippa will strive to make Clever Clogs a successful and high quality childcare setting that is second to none.
